- Wallaroo Drowning Case
WALLAROO. Thursday. James Stiles (20), who has been staying at Dawson's Coffee Palace, Wallaroo,, for about 12 months, was drowned at Prico's jetty this afternoon. Mr. P. Ross, who was on the jetty seme distance away crabbing, heard a splash and sow Stiles struggling in he water. He endeavored to assist him with a pole, as he was unab1 to swim. As his efforts were unavailing, he informed the police, and Constables Waye and Gethings hurried to the ictty and recovered the body about 20 feet from the jetty. Artificial respiration was tried pending the arrival of Dr. Harbison, who declared life extinct. The mother of the youth, who lives at Winslow-street. Milson's Point, Sydney, has-been informed by the police.
